Report Fraud

If you have been contacted by any company or person requesting a fee for a GRA application or loan, or if you have knowledge of a GRA participant whom you suspect of providing false personal information while rental assistance is being or was being provided, please use the form below to report this fraudulent activity, or mail the information to Georgia Rental Assistance, 60 Executive Park South, NE, Atlanta, GA 30329.

Complainant and Applicant Confidentiality: The Georgia Rental Assistance program will, within the law, protect the identity of individuals who submit complaints. Identities will not be divulged unless permission is received from the individual, a legal process requires identification, or the individual acts in bad faith. While anonymous complaints are permitted, please note that limitations associated with the submission of an anonymous complaint will have an impact upon the investigation and resolution of the complaint. In addition, due to privacy issues, Georgia Rental Assistance will not be able to discuss an applicant’s situation with you.

Examples of possible fraud occurring include:

  • The applicant is not/was not living in the property or leasing it.
  • A new or additional job was not reported by the applicant, including temporary or contract work, for the applicant or other adult household member
  • Income or liquid assets were not reported by the applicant (Income and assets from all adults in the household, including bank accounts, inheritance, etc. Does not include retirement accounts, the sale of personal items, or the occasional yard sale or other event of nominal monetary gain.)

Due to privacy issues, Georgia Rental Assistance will not be able to discuss a borrower's situation with you.
